Group Retiree Medical Insurance Programs are specifically designed for employers, unions, and their group retirees age 65 and older who are enrolled in Medicare Parts A and B.

This coverage can help shift the risk away from employers. Benefits help fill in some of Medicare's gaps in coverage-such as coinsurance and deductibles to provide more protection. Coverage enables employers to transition retirees to a defined contribution, fully insured program while limiting their open-ended obligations and reducing health care expenses and other costs involved with management of retiree coverage.

With a variety of plan design and contribution options, employers and union groups with a minimum of 75 retirees can implement a sound strategy by removing retirees from the risk pool of active employees.

  • Competitive cost
  • High-quality benefit options for employers
  • An exceptional health care value for retirees
  • Eligibility for all retirees and their spouses age 65 and older enrolled in Medicare Parts A and Parts B
  • Hospitalization and Medical coverage
  • A selection of contribution levels
  • Co-payment options that can be used to reduce rates
  • No waiting period for full coverage if replacing existing coverage
  • Guaranteed acceptance
  • Excellent customer service support
  • Reduce FASB 106 / GASB 45 liabilities by going fully insured
  • Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Coverage Options

Our Retiree Medical Insurance Program can help relieve the pressure on employers as they look to fund the health care benefit promises they made to their retirees years ago.

Between 2012 and 2050, the United States will experience considerable growth in its older population. In 2050, the population aged 65 and over is projected to be 83.7 million, almost double its estimated population of 43.1 million in 2012. The baby boomers are largely responsible for this increase in the older population, as they began turning 65 in 2011. By 2050, the surviving baby boomers will be over the age of 85.
